Benois de la Danse at the Hotel «Peter I»
Comfortable Hotel "Peter I" with traditional hospitality have entertained visitors and participants of the XVIII international festival Benois de la Danse.
The XVIII Benois de la Danse Award Ceremony for the outstanding choreographic achievements created in the previous year and the charity Gala of the nominees of this year is taking place on the New stage of the Bolshoi Theatre on May, 18, 2010. The charity Gala “Stars of Benois de la Danse of the previous years” is taking place on the New stage of the Bolshoi Theatre on May, 19, 2010. The established celebrities of the world ballet are participating in it. Benois de la Danse Prize was founded by the International Dance Association (the International Dance Union nowadays) in Moscow in 1991 and was first awarded on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in the same year. The outstanding choreographer Yuri Grigorovich is the Head of Benois de la Danse Project and the Chairman of the Jury. UNESCO valued the character of the award and the impulse it would give to the development of the world and Russian art of dance and adopted the patronage of Benois de la Danse in 1992, from the very beginning of its existence. In 2009 Benois de la Danse, being the Program of the International significance, was adopted the patronage and got the right to use the European Cultural Parliament Logo.
This Year was the second time the Peter I Hotel was the partner of Benois de la Danse.
